Ferrous Metals.
#1 Iron Prepared.
Wrought iron and/or steel scrap 1/4 inch and over in thickness (not galvanized). Individual pieces need to be two feet by five feet or under.
#2 Iron Prepared.
Wrought iron and steel scrap (black and galvanized), 1/8 inch or over in thickness. Individual pieces can not be over two feet by three feet.
Motor Blocks.
•Whole or Stripped Blocks.
•Motor Parts, Heads, Standard Transmissions.
•Motor Block Must Have a 3" Gash in the Pan and be Drained.
Mixed Cast.
May include all grades of cast iron except burnt iron. Dimensions not over two feet by two feet six inches. and no piece over 150 lbs.
Light Iron.
•Under One Eighth Inch Thick, Such as Sheet Metal.
White Goods.
•Appliances, such as stoves, washers, dryers, ect..
Cars.
•Must remove tires and gas tanks, drain fluids and remove all mercury switches. If the vehicle is 1988 or newer, titles without liens are required.
Appliances With Freon.
•Refrigerators, Freezers, ect..
•There is a charge of $12.00 per refrigerator and $15.00 per Air Conditioner.
Alloy Free Machine Shop Turnings.
•Clean steel turnings, free of iron borings or excessive oil, containing not more than 0.05% phosphorus or sulphur, and free of alloys.
Non-ferrous Metals.
#1 Copper.
•Stripped wire strands that are bigger than a number two pencil lead. If burnt , must be burnt red can not be green or black. Copper pipes can not have solder, fittings, ect.
#2 Copper.
•Shall consist of miscellaneous, unalloyed copper scrap having a nominal 96% copper content as determined by electrolytic assay. Should be free of the following: excessively leaded, tinned, soldered copper wire; brass and bronze wire; excessive oil content, iron and non-metallic; copper tubing, with other than copper connections or with sediment; copper wire from burning, containing insulation; hair wire which is brittle; and should be free of ash.
Light Copper (#3 Copper)
•Shall consist of miscellaneous copper scrap having nominal 92% copper content as determined by electrolytic assay and shall consist of sheet copper, gutters downspouts, kettles, boilers, and similar scrap. Should be free of the following: burnt hair wire, copper clad, plating racks, grindings, radiators, fire extinguishers; refrigerators, electrotype shells, screening, excessively leaded, tinned soldered scrap, brasses and bronzes, excessive oil, iron, and non-metallic, and free of ash.
#1 Copper Wire.
•Shall consist of clean, un-tinned, uncoated, unalloyed copper wire and cable, not smaller than No 16 B&S wire gauge, free of burnt wire which is brittle.
Composition (Red Brass)
•Shall consist of red brass scrap, valves, machinery, bearings and other machinery parts, including miscellaneous castings made of copper, tin, zinc, and/or lead. Should be free of semi-red brass castings (78% to 81% copper); railroad car boxes and other similar high lead alloys; cocks and faucets; closed water meters; gates; pot pieces; ingots and burnt brass; aluminum, silicon and manganese bronzes; iron and non metallic. No piece to measure more than 12" over any one part or weigh over 100lbs.
Red Brass Brass Turnings.
•Shall consist of turnings from red brass composition material and should be sold subject to sample or analysis.
Brass.
•Shall consist of brass castings, rolled brass, rod brass, tubing, and miscellaneous yellow brass, including plated brass. Must be free of manganese-bronze, aluminum -bronze, unsweated radiators or radiator parts, iron, excessively dirty and corroded material.
Radiators-PP.
•Shall consist of mixed automobile radiators, to be free of aluminum radiators, and iron finned radiators.
Radiators-UPP.
•Has Iron Attached.
Heater Cores.
•Must have Steel off and no hoses or anything attached to them.
Insulated Copper Wire.
•Shall consist of copper wire scrap with various types of insulation. To be sold on sample or recovery basis, subject to agreement between buyer and seller.
Extrusion.
•Door castings and window castings, ends cannot be crimped.
•Must have all die cast and iron attachments off.
•No Paint or Grease.
•Must be Bailer size, can not be larger than 2'x4'.
Cast Aluminum.
•Must be free of any Iron and brass Attachments.
Old Sheet.
•Must be 2'x4' or under if not it goes as Unprepared.
Insulated Aluminum Wire Scrap.
•Shall consist of aluminum wire scrap with various types of insulation. To be sold on a sample or recovery basis subject to agreement between buyer and seller.
Mixed Aluminum Castings.
•Shall consist of all clean aluminum castings which may contain auto and airplane casting, but no ingots and to be free of iron, dirt, brass, babbit and any foreign materials.
Copper Aluminum Radiators.
•Shall consist of clean aluminum and copper radiators, and/or aluminum fins on copper tubing, free of brass tubing, iron and other foreign contamination.
Stainless Steel PP.
•Must be prepared 2'x3' Maximum.
•No Steel, Brass or copper attachments.
Magnesium Scrap.
Shall consist of magnesium castings, magnesium engine blocks and transmission castings, bomber and car wheels, extrusions, and sheet. Material to be free from brass and copper inserts and all foreign attachments. To be free of anodes, hollow castings, and explosives. Percentages of and penalties for dirt, oil, grease, and iron to be subject to agreement between buyer and seller. Excessively large pieces to be negotiated between buyer and seller.
Old Zinc Die Cast Scrap.
Shall consist of miscellaneous old zinc base die castings, with or without iron and other foreign attachments, Must be free of borings, turnings, dross unmeltables, dirt, foreign attachments and volatile substances( such as rubber, cork, plastic, grease ect.) are deductible.
Old Scrap Zinc.
Shall consist of clean dry scrap zinc, such as sheets, jar lids, clean unalloyed castings and anti-corrosion plates. Borings and turnings are not acceptable. Material must not be excessively corroded or oxidized. All foreign attachments and extraneous materials are deducible.
Batteries.
Consisting of SLI (stating, lighting & ignition) automotive , truck, 8-D and commercial golf cart and marine-type batteries. Cases to be either plastic or rubber and to be complete. Non-Lead (ni-cad) are not acceptable. Other types i.e. aircraft (aluminum) gel-cel, lawnmower and partial, cracked, or broken, batteries or batteries with out caps and the amount of liquid content and any variations to the specification subject to special agreement.
Industrial Lead Batteries.
Consisting of bus, diesel, locomotive, telephone and/ or steel cased batteries. Submarine batteries subject to negotiation. Partial cracked, broken, or batteries without caps and the amount of liquid content and any variations to the specification subject to special agreement..
Wheel Weights.
To consist of lead tire balances with or without iron clips. Not to include scrap lead, lugs, or plates unless specifically agreed to. To be free of foreign material. Review packaging specifications and regulatory status pertaining to shipping with buyers prior to sale.
Lead.
Shall consist of clean soft scrap lead, free of other materials such as dross, battery plates, lead covered cable, hard lead, collapsible tubes, foil, type metals, lead and radioactive materials.
ANY UNPREPARED NON FERROUS METAL WILL BE PRICED AT LEAST .05 UNDER PRICE LIST. |
